Funeral services for James W. Marshall, 58, Iowa City, were held Feb. 24, 1987 at Snider Funeral Home in West Liberty, with the Rev. Richard T. Hartshorn officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery.

Mr. Marshall died Feb. 20 at his home after a heart attack.

The son of Ralph and Margaret Lane Marshall, he was born March 17, 1928 in West Liberty. He married Geneva McKillip Nov. 6, 1959 in Muscatine. He was most recently employed in maintenance for the Athletic Department at the University of Iowa.

Mr. Marshall is survived by his wife, 2 sons, Steven and Michael, West Liberty; a daughter, Mrs. Christine Kruse, West Liberty; 3 brothers, Carroll Marshall, Durant; Harold Marshall, Elk Horn, Neb. and John Marshall, Wilton and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
