Funeral services for Luther McMichael, 68, Atalissa, were held Jan. 31, 1987 at the Snider Funeral Home in West Liberty, with the Rev. Jackie Tjarks officiating. Burial was in the Muscatine Memorial Park cemetery.

Mr. McMichael died Jan. 28 at his home in Atalissa following an extended illness.

The son of James and Nellie Hollenbeck McMichael, he was born July 10, 1918 in Muscatine county. He married Sadie Faulkner Feb. 26, 1940 in Muscatine. He was a member of the Muscatine Moose Lodge and farmed in Muscatine county his entire adult life.

Mr. McMichael is survived by his wife; 3 sons, Jerry McMichael, Ron McMichael and Jay McMichael, all of Atalissa; a brother, Vernon McMichael, Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Irene Jackson, Muscatine and 6 grandchildren.
