PLUMB biography

I am starting to gather data to do a biography of my great grandfather VALENTINE PLUMB (b. 1820 Barrowby England, d. 1882 Mills County Iowa), who purchased land in Mills County (along Mud Creek, I think),in 1856 and raised a large family there. I would really appreciate it if anyone having letters, documents, legal papers, anecdotes regarding him, his life, his journey from England in 1843, his trip to the gold rush, or any other info would share them with me. He has been my personal hero, and deserves a full biography.zg
