SPENCER BOYD, a retired farmer and one of the commissioners of Chelan conuty, resides at Chelan, coming there in 1891. He was born in Fulton county, Illinois, July 15, 1842. His parents were natives of Ohio. His father, William, was of an old family, the paternal grandfather of our subject having been a soldier in the Revolutionary war. [should be great grandfather-note from Sandra Westbrook] In 1853 the family of our subject removed to Iowa, and here he attended district school and worked on the farm with his father. [should be grandfather] The latter died when Spencer was six years of age. [And that would put his father's date 1848].
