Thanks Lynn, I will try to contact Louisa County Recorder & work from there. Is there a state data base? I'm located in SE IN & as you know, that complicates things! Joseph may have died in Des Moines Co but had lived earlier in Louisa. Mystery!! Thanks again, I appreciate the help. Steve
