Hi Nancy,

Well, one can hope there will be more information on the parents in their obits but I venture a guess it was slim pickings.

Have you looked for his probate record?

If they had 12 children, then maybe you can find out more by tracing some of them.

The problem with censuses before 1850 is that only head of household is listed then number of people within age groups and sex.

What do you know of the family in Pike Co., OH?
