Hello Nancy,
I see where William Sellers and Nancy Anna Brown married in Louisa Co. on 28 May 1878.
Their family is found in the 1880 Federal census as living in Marshall Twp, Louisa Co. enumerated 17 Jun 1880. William is noted as 35 yrs b. IA, Nancy is 22 yrs b. IA and Elsie is 1 mo old.
In the 1925 IA State census Elsie Wagg, 46 yrs. Her father is named William Sellers and mother Nancy Brown. Nancy is noted as being still living and at the age of 60 yrs.
I see that Elsie married Fred Wagg 9 Mar 1898 and she is buried in Harrison Cemetery, Louisa Co.
Now the hard part -
Looking at the 1880 census, Nancy was born abt 1858 in Iowa.
Using Ancestry.com, I could only find Nancy A. Brown b. in IA 1858 + or - one year, comes up with the 1860 Federal Census Roseville, Warren Co. IL
Brown Samuel E. 31 yrs b. KY
Elizabeth 30 yrs b. KY
William 8 b. IL
Mary J. 6 b. IL
Mary A. b. IASo now my questions to you - what documentation do you have as to the parents of Nancy? When did she die, where is she buried, do you have her obituary?
Tracing foot prints our ancestors is such an adventure!
Looking forward to hearing from you.
