Taken from the issue of the Republican, Columbus Junction, IA of December 18, 1869: Died, J. T. S. McChesney, a prominent farmer who lived one mile west of Toolesboro died last Saturday night after an illness of ten or fifteen days. He was about fifty years of age and was widely known as a business man and trader. He leaves a wife and children, most of the latter having attained their majority.
