Morning Sun News-Herald: Peter Abramson for many years a resident of Morning Sun, died at his home Saturday noon Sept. 22 after an illness extending over several weeks. The funeral services wee held from his late home Monday afternoon conducted by Rev. Anderson of Rose Hill, Iowa, assisted by Rev. Dickson of the Free Methodists church of this city and Rev. D. A. Clark district elder, of Burlington The interment was in Elmwood cemetery.

Peter J. Abramson was born in Sweden, Nov. 2, 1843. He emigrated to America in 1868. He was married to Caroline Larson on Oct. 3, 1872. To this union was born nine children, four of whom survive, Mrs. Mary Arnold, living in Texas, Mrs. Emma Norman of Tripon, Iowa, Chas. Abramson of Moline, Ill., John Abramson, of St. James, Ill., Mrs. Abramson died in 1888 and Mr. Abramson a second marriage occurred on Dec, 19, 1894, to Mrs. Ann Lofgren, who still survives him. Mr. Abramson was for over twenty-five years a member of the Free Methodist church in this place, always faithful to the church of his choice. He was highly regarded by all who knew him and will be missed by his family and friends.
