Morning Sun News-Herald : Mrs. Dolly Brady (nee Avery) was born Aug. 5th, 1838, in Louisa county near Wapello. She was married to J. A. R. Brady, July 2nd, 1857, who preceded her in death 12 years ago. To this union were born fifteen children of whom six survive to mourn her loss. They are Mrs. Mary Wilson of Marsh, and John, Frank, William, Robert and Dennis Brady, who reside near Morning Sun. Besides these she leaves one brother, Solomon Avery, of Wapello. Her demise occurred July 12th at 8 a. m., attaining the age of 72 years, 9 months and 7 days. The funeral service were held at the home north of Morning Sun and were conducted by E. S. Hehner, pastor of the M. E. church at Yarmouth. The interment was at the Wapello cemetery.
