Page 1After an illness extending over a period of more than two months, Mrs. Will Hartmann passed away Friday morning about 11:30 o'clock at the Bellevue hospital in Muscatine, a nervous breakdown being given as the cause of her death. About two weeks ago her condition became so serious that it was found necessary to remove her to the hospital for treatment and every effort was made to prolong her live but without success. Miss Minnie Diercks was born in Muscatine March 17, 1884 and her entire life has been spent in that city, ten years ago she united in marriage to Will Hartmann, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hartmann, of Wapello. To this union was born two children, Helen and Louis, who with the husband are left to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother. She is also survived by her father, William Diercks, one sister, Mrs. Albert Justman, of Denver, Colo., and six brothers, Henry, of St. Louis, Mo., and John, William, Andrew, Edward and Louis, all of Muscatine. Mrs. Hartman was a member of the Royal Neighbors and also a faithful member of the Mulford Congregational church. The funeral services were held at the Mulford church in Muscatine Monday afternoon at 2:30.
