James Hindman, an old soldier and a man highly respected by all who knew him passed away at his home near Toolesboro yesterday morning, August 2, at six o'clock. Mr. Hindman was born in Illinois about 76 years ago and came from New Boston to Jefferson township before the civil war. He enlisted and served during the entire war. He is survived by Jennie Cubbage of Oakville and Mrs. Irene Wesley, of Toolesboro. Mr. Hindman had been in feeble health for a number of years and for the past two months has been confined to his home.
