Sarah Ellen Coder was born in Decatur county, Iowa, Feb. 8, 1881, and died at her home near Cranston, Iowa, April 11, 1911, aged 30 years, 2 months, and 3 days. She was united in marriage with Leo E. Snyder, Oct. 28, 1902 at Muscatine, Iowa and he with their three children Hazel, aged 6 years, Harold aged 2 years and Ethel, a babe of only 19 days are left without the love and companionship of a true wife and mother. Besides these her heartbroken father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John Coder, of Cranston, two brothers, Chester N. of Cranston, Mrs. John Welch, of Cairo, and Mrs. Wm. Hackett of Letts, Iowa. These with her husband's father, S. B. Snyder, are left with aching hears.

Ella was a true Christian and to number her friends would be a difficult task. She was ready to answer the last call of the divine Messenger. We have the assurance she is safe with Him and while mourning our loss thank God it is her gain. The funeral services were held in Oak Grove Christian church and as the pastor, Rev. Boyce read the obituary. Ella had grown up in their midst, possessed of an extremely happy, possessed of an extremely happy, sunny temperament; all who knew her loved her.
