James Hobart Chapman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur D. Chapman, was born in Wapello July 28, 1910 and died at the home of his parents in this city, April 9, 1911, aged 8 months, and 11 days. He was sick but two weeks with erysipelas and pneumonia. Mr. and Mrs. Chapman and little daughter came to Wapello last May. Mr. Chapman being one of the levee contractors. Funeral service were held from the home Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. E. Newsom. Interment in Wapello cemetery.
