Charles W. V. Shaffer, son of Mrs. Sarah Shaffer was born in Wapello, Iowa September 9, 1889 and passed away at his home in Oakville Sunday afternoon at the age of 21 years, death being due to pneumonia. (unreadable) He is survived by his mother, three brothers and two sisters. The remains were brought back to the old home in Wapello Tuesday while funeral services were held at ? from the M. E. church conducted by Rev. Newsom. The remains were laid to rest in the Wapello cemetery by the side of his father.
