ONSLOW - John N. Paulsen, 73, died at John McDonald hospital, Monticello Tuesday, March 7, 1972. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 9 at 1:30 p.m. at Zion American Lutheran church, Wyoming, with the Rev. Alfred Mardorff officiating. Burial will be in Wyoming cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brock Reade, Bruce Reade, Raymond Taylor, Clarence Doll, Lyman Lanphere and Paul Allen.

John Paulsen was born in Scotch Grove township June 30, 1898, the son of Paul and Mary Eckelberg Paulsen. He attended school in Scotch Grove township and later farmed in the Onslow area. He was married April 14, 1936 near Monticello to Norma Rickels. He retired in January 1967 but they continued to live on the farm.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; two brothers, Emil and Paul Paulsen, Scotch Grove. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and two brothers.
