Fred D. Joslin, 73, of rural Anamosa, died Monday, Feb. 7, 1972 at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids after a brief illness. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Lloyd Dutro Thursday, Feb. 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Goettsch Funeral home. Burial will be in Forest cemetery.

Born Mar. 15, 1898 in Fairview township, he was the son of Daniel and Hila Bixler Joslin. He attended township schools and on Sept. 15, 1935 was married to Dorothea Bates. They lived in Clinton more than 16 years and moved to their present home in 1956.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothea; three sons, Donald, West Des Moines; Fred Allen, Marion, James, a student at UNI, Cedar Falls; a daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Vivian) Siemer, Mankato, Mainn.; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Vivian Jones, Cedar Rapids, and a brother, Roy Joslin, Clarence. He was preceded in death by a son, Keith, and an infant brother and sister.
