A GOLDEN WEDDING- Robert Bunting the well to do farmer who lives on Bowen’s Prairie, celebrated the anniversary of his golden wedding on Thursday of this week. Mr. Bunting is a native of Virginia, was born at the foot of the Blue Ridge, eighty-five miles from Alexandria in 1797, and is seventy-one years old this coming fall. He returned from Virginia and ettled in Belmont County, Ohio, in 1811 where he remained until 1917, removing to Muskingham County, where he was married and was a resident thirty six years. In 1853 he caught the western fever and sundering the ties which bond him to Ohio he pushed toward the setting sun nd settled in Iowa. Consequently he has been a citizen of the Hawkeye state twenty-three years, having been a prudent and provident man, he descends the hill of life in comfortable circumstances, and celebrated his golden wedding day in that caseful frame of mind which only peace nd plenty can bring.
