Victor Wayne Derrick passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Ravenwood Specialty Care nursing home in Waterloo, Iowa .

Victor was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on May 29, 1949. His parents, Sherman Sr. and Margaret Pitts Derrick moved to

Fort Madison, Iowa where Victor began his education graduating from Fort Madison High School. After high school, he joined
the Air Force. His passion was being fit by jogging for miles or riding his bicycle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Norma and brother Sherman Jr.

Victor is survived by his daughter, Yulonda Derrick , Baton Rouge, Lousiana, sister, Patricia Townsend, Long Beach, California, brothers Thomas Derrick, Waukegan, Illinois, Larry Derrick (Mary) Flemington, New Jersey and Anthony Derrick (Sharon) Skokie, Illinois and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside committal with Military Honors will be held at 1:30 PM, Monday, February 10, 2025 in the Veterans Circle at Oakland Cemetery in Fort Madison.
