James H. “Jim” Maxwell III, age 50 of Coralville died Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 9am till 11am at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, with a graveside service to follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Iowa City. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established to support the future needs of Jim’s children. James Henry Maxwell III was born October 22, 1974, in East Moline, Illinois the son of James H. Maxwell II and Brenda Chewning. He was united in marriage to Jamie R. Wolfe on May 12, 2007, in Solon. For many years, Jim worked for UPS out of Davenport driving over the road. He enjoyed much in his life, working on his sweet corvette, decorating his home and yard for the holidays (extreme to some) camping, fishing, listening to music and traveling but nothing more important and dear to him than his family, especially their kids!

His family includes his wife, Jamie; their two children, Pipper and Payton; his mother, Brenda Chewning; sister, Bridget Maxwell and mother-in-law, Roxann Wolfe. He was preceded in death by his father, James; daughter, Lexus; grandparents; James and Joann Maxwell, Don and Bonnie Edmonds and father-in-law, Timothy Wolfe.
