Hi again, G.S.,
I've received a little more info from an old friend who lives outside of Fairfield. She says that according to a 1963 Farm Directory, Justin NORTH appears as a resident (not necessarily a land owner), although the street address wasn't mentioned, but likely Locust Grove Township. In a 1984 Jefferson County Plat Book, she found 314 acres in Sections 18, 19, and 20 of Lockridge Township which was owned by Buddy NORTH (and J. F. North), as Justin's Estate. This would be about six miles east of Fairfield, and a couple miles north, with a street address of 2500 Marigold Blvd.In a 2020 Plat Book, this property is now owned by a Todd Fulton. The home that Buddy lived in had been torn down and Todd lives in a mobile home there.
Cedar Creek runs through the property and the area floods every year or two, so perhaps not much area to grow crops on. Were they more into raising livestock as opposed to growing crops?
We are trying to figure out who Justin's parents were... do you have any info on that?
Joey

CORRECTION:
The Marigold Avenue address is in Cedar Township, not in Lockridge Township. This would be about three miles SOUTH of Fairfield, not east and north as I previously thought. I didn't have the Plat Book page copies to refer to when I posted the above reply yesterday... they came in today's mail.
