Mr. Z. K. French returned home to Valley Junction this morning, from a professional visit here in connection with the interment of Mrs. Elzina Bachelder, his wife’s aunt, who died last Wednesday, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Hague, 1711 East Grand Ave., Des Moines, aged 86 years, leaving two sons and two daughters. The funeral was from the Hague residence Wednesday and the interment yesterday at 3 p.m. was at the McKeever cemetery north of town Mr. Hague was here but his wife was unable to come, having last Saturday fallen down stairs and broken both her wrists. Deceased was well known hereabouts as a sister of Mrs. Richard Barker, deceased, and a pioneer of this part of Jasper county.
