Old Time County Sheriff Dead.
David H. Ackerson, aged 76, a brother of Mrs. John Ferrie, of Cresco, and in the early days of the county its sheriff, passed away last week at the home of his son, Willard, in Minneapolis, after an illness of about a year. Mr. Ackerson has been a resident of Minneapolis since 1882 He leaves a widow, two sons and two daughters.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Mar. 15, 1843 and died April 12, 1919. He is buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
