WILSON.
Elizabeth Ridlund was born in Lenoick, Scotland, on Sept. 10th 1830, and died in Cresco, Ia., April 28th, 1919, aged 88 year, 7 months, 9 days. In Scotland on Feb. 22nd, 1853, she was married to Peter Lusk. Coming to U. S. they settled on Marshall, Wis. To this union five children were born, George Lusk, Mrs. Margaret and Maggie Gingles of Mankato, Minn., William of Orange, California and James of Chester, Ia. Mary preceeded her in death in 1893. Her husband served in the civil war, being wounded in battle and died in Andersonville prison.
In 1868 she was united in marriage with George Wilson at Marshall, Wis. Stuart Wilson, a stepson, resides in Cresco. One son John was born of this union. Mr. Wilson died in 1879, after which she with her family came to Iowa. For the last twenty-four years she and her son John made their home in Cresco. Besides her children she leaves thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and many friends.
For many years she has been a member of the Baptist church, her membership being with the Cresco Baptist Church at the time of her death. Being of a quiet, home-loving disposition she gave herself unstintedly{sic} to her family, serving God by training them for lives of unselfish service. For some time she has been in failing health, but until near the end was intensely interested in public affairs, in particular the great war and the League of Nations. She spoke freely of her trust in her Lord, and waited patiently to be taken home to rest. She was anxious to be with the Lord. A good wife, kind mother and true friend has gone home and heaven is richer while we feel our loss. Funeral held at her late home, service conducted by Rev. J. A. Pettit. Burial at Oak Lawn cemetery.
CARD OF THANKS.
We desire thus to express our appreciation for the great kindness of our friends and neighbors shown during the sickness and at the time of the death of our mother; also for the beautiful floral gifts at the funeral.

Geo. Lusk arrived Tuesday afternoon from Mankato, Minn., to attend the funeral of his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Wilson.
Transcriber’s Note: Her gravestone in Oak Lawn Cemetery shows her year of death as 1920 which is obviously an error since this newspaper was printed in 1919. Find a Grave’s shows she was born Sept. 19, 1830 which does not agree with the above either
