I just found my grandpa's records from the war and contained within his Statement of Personal History is the following:

My grandfather's name: Everett Fremont Reed (we called him "Jack"), born May 29, 1916 in Mason City, Iowa.

Grandpa "Jack" married Mary Alice Auten, born October 10, 1920 (he thinks it was Missouri where she was born, according to his Personal Statement). Mary Alice's Father's name is Ed Tish, at that time living in Searsboro, Iowa. Mary Alice's Mother's name is Ena Tish, then too residing in Searsboro, Iowa.

I just happened to come across this paperwork and can do some more digging.......
