Des Moines, IowaJohn C. Lepeltak, 55, passed away on January 18th. John was born in Des Moines to Walt and Betty Lepeltak.
John attended Des Moines Public Schools and is a graduate of the University of Iowa.
In March of 1981, John married his high school sweetheart, Tracy, who survives him. John and Tracy were blessed with two children, a daughter Leslie of Denver, CO and a son Steven of Johnston, IA. John is also survived by his mother and his father preceded him in death.
John will be remembered most for his kind spirit, giving heart, and willingness to help friends in need. John enjoyed golf, following the Hawkeyes, and had a true passion for flying. He spent most of his career in the auto industry.
Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, at Plymouth Congregational Church, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to either Animal Rescue League of Iowa or to the family to be later designated.
