Lulu Elizabeth Evert, 72, died at Delaware County Memorial hospital in Manchester on April 10 at 11:30 p.m. following a sudden illness. She was born Oct. 18, 1879, at Strawberry Point, the daughter of Lewis and Bertha Mattison, In 1898 she was married to Harley Evert at Edgewood and they have lived in this community ever since, farming for many years three miles south of Strawberry Point and then retiring to Strawberry Point several years ago. She was affiliated with the Methodist church and was an active member of the Royal Neighbors of America. She is survived by her Husband, Harley Evert of Strawberry Point, and one brother, Lee Mattison of St. Paul, Minn.
