Funeral services for Fred Katschkowsky, 65, who died Tuesday morning, April 15, were held at the Witt funeral chapel at 1:30 o'clock this (Thursday) afternoon and at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church at 2 p.m. The Rev. John H. Zerhusen of the Zion Lutheran church of Clayton Center, officiated.

Burial was in the East Side cemetery.

Mr. Katschkowsky was found dead in his room at the Bayless hotel in Elkader Tuesday morning when Mrs. Alice Seeland, housekeeper at the hotel, discovered the body and reported to Merritt Hamilton, hotel owner. Sheriff Fischer and Coroner E. W. Tuecke investigated and with a local doctor reported his death due to natural causes.

Mr. Katschkowsky had lived at the hotel a litle more than a week, following his return from Waukon.
