Epworth, Iowa - Mrs. Alice S. Kite, 85, of Epworth, died Saturday afternoon at Finley Hospital in Dubuque. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Reiff Funeral Home in Epworth. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. this afternoon at Reiff Funeral Home
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Larry (Opel) Boge of Ootsburg, Wis., Mrs. Luciel Dahlman of Epworth; Mrs. John (Everetta) Haupert of Dubuque and Mrs. Leland (Vivian) Phelps of Colesburg, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Alma Hoyes of St. Louis, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Alice Kite, 85, died Saturday afternoon, Oct. 15, 1977 at Finley Hospital in Dubuque, where she had been taken after suffering a stroke that morning at the Dbuque Health Care Center.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kite were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Reiff funeral home at Epworth. Burial was in Linwood cemetery at Dubuque.
Alice S. Kafer was born March 3, 1892 at Elkport, the daughter of John and Mary Stone Kafer. She attended the Central Holiness University at Oskaloosa and the Cosmetology School of Chicago.
On Feb. 24, 1924 she was united in marriage with James C. 'Bud' Brandenburg at Rockford, Ill. They made their home for many years at Cassville, Iis., where she was a beauty operator and they operated a Phillips 66 gas station. In 1945 they moved to North Buena Vista, where Mr. Brandenburg passed away on Jan. 6, 1947.
Mrs. Kite lived in Guttenberg and Epworth and was a resident of Lady of Lourdes and Dubuque Health Care Center nursing homes in Dubuque since March 24, 1972.
Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Leland (Vivian) Phelps, Colesburg; Mrs. John (Everetta) Haupert, St. Catherines; Mrs. Lucille Dahlman, Epworth and Mrs. Larry (Opel) Boge of Oostburg, Wis. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Alma Noyes of St. Louis, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Irene, brothers John, George, Frank and Andrew, and sisters Minnie Meier and Annie Hill.
