The wedding of Betty Rae Steen and Robert DeCook, took place, Aug. 05, at the E. and R. church, with the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating. The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jake Steen of Elkader, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Jenny Carpenter of Wadena. Joyce DeCook, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid, Valoyd Steen, brother of the bride, was best man. Ushers were LeRoy Steen, brother of the bride, and Carol Berns, brother-in-law.

A reception was held in the church parlors, where the cake was served by Della and Bobbi Steen, and coffee was served by Ingrid Clark and Marilyn Berns.

The bride is a graduate of the Elkader public high school and the groom was a graduate of Wadena. He is an employee of the John Deere Co. at Waterloo.

After a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. DeCook will make their home in Oelwein.
