MURRAY

After months of illness and poor health, E. T. Cone quietly passed away Sunday evening. Many were the days when we listened for the final, but the strong fight was put up and until the end came when he peacefully fell asleep. Mr. Cone was one of our splendid citizens, not so active in city affairs, but a good man, a good friend, a good neighbor and a Christian in his daily life. The pleasant word, cheerful smile and handclasp always was his greeting. An old soldier for his country, his home and Christ, he marched on to victory which he has won indeed in truth. Mr. Cone was a regular church attendant so long as his health permitted him to go. He loved the old time songs, sermons and ways. But he is gone from us. He leaves behind his aged wife and two sons, Frank of Sheridan, Wyo., and Ezra V. of Murray, besides one brother of Columbus, Nebr., and other relatives near and dear to him. Funeral services will be held from the M.E. Church Wednesday.
