Edna L. Medick, 92, of Cherokee, Iowa, and formerly of Cleghorn, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Oct. 1 in the Cherokee Villa following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 5 in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cherokee. Burial will be in the Cherokee Memory Gardens.

She was born on May 5, 1906, at Cleghorn, Iowa to Ernest and Mary (Ruckert) Noah. She was married to Andrew Medick on Dec. 4, 1929, at the Lutheran Parsonage in Cherokee, Iowa. She was a homemaker and helped her husband on the farm. She was a lifelong resident of Cherokee County and had resided at the Cherokee Villa the past 2 ½ years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, the ladies Aide and Church Circle. She also belonged to the Cleghorn and Meriden Senior Citizens. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on Feb. 11, 1978, a daughter-in-law, Colleen Medick, a grandson, Curtis, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

She is survived by 3 sons: Norman Medick of Cleghorn, Iowa; Delbert Medick and his wife Betty of Cherokee, Iowa; Bernard Medick and his wife Kay of Kansas City, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 sister: Laura Johnson of Cherokee, Iowa.
