Florence Lundquist LaFonteese
Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Lundquist LaFonteese, 87, of Paullina who passed away on Sunday, May 24, 1998, at the Baum-Harmon Hospital in Primghar, will be Wednesday, May 27, 1998, at the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home in Paullina. Burial will be in the Liberty Township Cemetery in rural Meriden.

Mrs. LaFonteese, was the daughter of Olaf and Alma Nysted Lundquist. She was born Feb. 2, 1911, in Cherokee County, Iowa. She attended country school in Cherokee County. She moved to California to the Long Beach area. On March 1, 1940, she was united in marriage to Louis LaFonteese in California. After their marriage the couple made their home in California until moving to Prescott, Arizona. Her husband preceded her in death in 1980 in Prescott. On May 5, 1997, she moved to Paullina to make her home at the Wide View Rest Home.

Florence is survived by one brother, Milton “Bud” Lundquist of Meriden, Iowa; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Nellie Lundquist of Madelia, Minnesota, Mrs. Marge Lundquist of Meriden, Iowa and Mrs. Helga Lundquist of Washta, Iowa; also, many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters: Gladys Frances and Eyleen; six brothers, Chester, Bill, George, Ray and LeRoy.
