Wilmer L. Lehnhoff, 82, of Arnolds Park, Iowa, formerly of the Marcus, Iowa area, passed away Thursday, May 14, 1998, in the Hilltop Care Center in Cherokee, Iowa following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 16 at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee.

Mr. Lehnhoff was born on January 15, 1916, in Tilden Township, Cherokee County, Iowa to Peter and Lucy (Woltman) Lehnhoff. On January 28, 1946 he married Wilma J. Harms at LeMars, Iowa. His home was on a farm in Tilden Township, having lived in Cherokee County all of his life. He was engaged in farming until retiring in 1981 when he moved to Arnolds Park. He enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, photography and listening to music.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma, Milford, Iowa; four daughters: Janet and her husband, Jim Staver, Cherokee; Nancy and her husband, Dan Froberg, Norfolk, Nebraska; Jean and her husband, Lee Grage, Remsen, Iowa; and Linda and her husband, Doug Roseen, Marcus; a son, Tom Lehnhoff and his wife, Shari, Marcus; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Joann Lehnhoff in 1974.
