Funeral services for Carl F. Marolf, 78, Wilton, were held Nov. 24, 1989 at Lacock Funeral Home in Wilton, with the Rev. Donald Sondrol officiating. Pallbearers were Lyle, Robert and George Marolf, Leonard Meyer, Jeff Kaufmann and Jerry Sloan. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery, Wilton.

Mr. Marolf died Nov. 20 at the Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton.

The son of Edward F. and Mary Klein Marolf, he was born March 30, 1911 in Wilton. He married Ruth Rice Oct. 7, 1932 in Kahoka, Mo.

Mr. Marolf worked at a feed and grain business in Tipton for many years and retired in 1973 from employment at University hospitals in Iowa City. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Darlene) Eichelberger, Atalissa and Mrs. Darrell (Joann) Coppess, Stanwood; 3 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one sister, Ellen Marolf, Wilton. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and a sister.
