An interment service will be held for Mrs. Edgar (Mabel H.) Hinton, 81, at a later date. Visitation, prior to cremation, is from 3 to 6 p.m. today (Dec. 6) at the Sheets and Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hinton died at University hospitals, Iowa City, Dec. 4.

The daughter of Edward and Hattie Pletcher Schilling, she was born at Tipton Oct. 18, 1908. She attended the rural and Tipton schools. She married Edgar Hinton in Tipton Dec. 18, 1926. A homemaker, she spent her life in the Tipton area.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Lance (Ruby) Schilling, Tipton; a niece, Mrs. Richard (Jo Ann) Jones, Manchester and 2 nephews, Francis (Bub) Schilling, Tipton and Gerald Schilling, Montone, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.
