Funeral services for LeRoy G. Krenz, 72, were held at First United Church of Christ Nov. 8 with the Rev. Robert Molsberry officiating. Burial was in Shawver cemetery, Cedar Bluff. Pallbearers were Lonnie, Scott and Gary Krenz Jr. and Tony, Terry and Tracy Countryman. Betty Trevathan was organist.

Mr. Krenz died at University hospitals, Iowa City, Nov. 4.

The son of William and Kathryn Ahrens Krenz, he was born at Big Rock Aug. 16, 1916. He was educated in the rural Clinton county and Wheatland schools. He was married to Elinor R. Hoker at Wheatland Nov. 30, 1939.

A retired carpenter, he had been a resident of the Tipton area most of his life.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Karen Countryman, West Branch; Mrs. Dean (Gloria) Hubler, Buchanan and Mrs. Randy (Kayleen) Hubler, Tipton; 4 sons, Ken, Lone Tree, Gary, New Liberty and Gaylen and Gene, Tipton; 28 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Mrs. Florence Guessford and Mrs. Gladys Kankel, Davenport.
