Funeral services for Roger Wilbur Rekemeyer, 67, a native of Cedar county, were held at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport Oct. 22, 1988 with burial in Inland cemetery, Bennett.

Mr. Rekemeyer died at Mercy hospital, Davenport Oct. 19.

The son of Fred and Amanda Thiering Rekemeyer, he was born in Inland township Nov. 19, 1921. He married Luella Broders in 1941.

He farmed in Scott county and later worked at Oscar Mayer, Davenport. He was a member of the Moose lodge at Davenport. His hobbies were golf and fishing.

He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters, Mrs. Larry (Lena) Morris and Mrs. Marty (Donna) Sprengelmeyer, Davenport; a son, Robert Walcott; 5 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Nelda Siebke, Davenport; Alice Wiese, Dixon and Nola Borchers, Wheatland and 5 brothers, Norman, Fred Jr., Dallas (Pete) and Gaylon, all of Bennett and Harry (Jack), rural Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
