Funeral services for Alfred Gill (Stub) Lenker, 74, were held in Wilton Nov. 7 with the Rev. Telford Dindinger officiating. Pallbearers were Lee Lenker, Boyd Stackhouse Jr., Don Meyer, Roger Marolf, Brad Smith and Al Sterner. Diana Maurer was the organist. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery. Mr. Lenker died at Simpson Memorial Home, West Liberty, Nov. 4.
The son of Eugene Milton and Ida Grace Gill Lenker, he was born in Cedar county Feb. 3, 1914. He married Bernice L. Kleist in Kahoka, Mo. March 25, 1939.
He owned and operated Wilton Feed & Produce for 36 years. He was a lover of horses.
He is survived by his wife, a son, Gerald (Jerry), Wilton; a daughter, Mrs. Gerry (Bonnie) Zimmerman, Muscatine, 4 grandchildren; a brother, Lauren, Wilton and 2 sisters, Vera Marolf, Wilton and Lois Smith, Muscatine. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and a brother.
