Funeral services for Verda Lett, 79, Wilton, were held Sept. 26, 1988 at Lacock Funeral Home in Wilton, with the Rev. Earl Moermond officiating. Pallbearers were Paul Grunder, Richard, Tim and Dan Ervin, Wilbert Lett and Perry Taylor. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery.

Verda Lett died Sept. 22 at the Good Samaritan Home in Davenport.

The daughter of Jacob and Sophia Lett, she was born Sept. 20, 1909 in Wilton. She was a member of Zion Lutheran church and worked as a housekeeper for more than 40 years at the former Griffith Funeral Home in Wilton, as well as other homes in the area.

She is survived by a sister, Alta Ovesen, Wilton. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
