Funeral services for Donald Hamilton, 62, West Branch, were held Sept. 24, 1988 at St. Mary's Catholic church in Iowa City, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.

Mr. Hamilton died Sept. 22 at University Hospitals following a short illness.

The son of Ted and Sarah Gilroy Hamilton, he was born May 25, 1926 in Tiffin. He married Evelyn Fall June 7, 1962 in Illinois. He was a groundskeeper for the University of Iowa and at the Finkbine golf course for many years.

Mr. Hamilton attended St. Mary's Catholic church in Iowa City.

He is survived by his wife; 6 sons, Tim Hamilton, West Branch; Larry Clothier, Joe Hamilton and Bradley Hamilton, all of Iowa City; Craig Hamilton and Steve Hamilton, both of Coralville; 2 daughters, Debra Hamilton, Iowa City and Mrs. Steve (Debra) Rekemeyer, Amana; 2 sisters, Mrs. Hugh (Betty) Ribble, Iowa City and Mrs. Jim (Judy) Smith, West Branch and 9 grandchildren.
