Funeral services for Dorothy Albaugh Border, 76, Marion and formerly of Mechanicsville, were held at the First Presbyterian church in Mechanicsville, with the Rev. Jaymee Glenn Burns officiating. Tanya Kropman was the organist and Inis Huffman was the soloist. Pallbearers were grandsons, Brad, Douglas, Greg, David, Gary and Jim Albaugh. Honorary bearers were step grandsons Steve and Doug Crary, David and Tam Walczak and Jim Studer. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Border died Sept. 14 at Mercy hospital in Cedar Rapids following a short illness.

The daughter of Charles Ross and Amanda Beaver Graft, she was born Dec. 26, 1911 in Clinton. She married Arthur Albaugh March 25, 1933 and he died in 1950. She married Elmer Border June 28, 1965.

Mrs. Border attended schools in Cedar Rapids and Stanwood. She lived in the Mechanicsville area until 1965, when she moved to Marion. She worked as a farm wife and in area restaurants. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and the Mechanicsville Methodist church.

She is survived by her husband; 3 sons, Ronald Albaugh, Mechanicville; and Keith Albaugh and Wallace Albaugh, both of Marion; 3 stepdaughters, Doris Olday, Madison, Wis.; Clarice Studer, Mechanicsville and Ruth Walczak, Ridgeway, Wis.; a stepsister, Irma Stingley of Ohio; 6 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 14 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.
