Funeral services for Evelyn L. McIntosh, 68, were held July 23, 1987 at the First United Methodist church in Tipton with Dr. Jerrold Swinton officiating. Dr. Swinton was the vocalist and Sylvia Gould was the organist. Pallbearers were Kenneth Hintz, Lester Barkhurst, Elmer Harmel, Ron Jarzombek, Deane Tate and Fred Lehman. Sue Wargo and Violet Ziba were in charge of flowers. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.
Mrs. McIntosh died July 20 at Cedar Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness.
The daughter of Henry and Rose Smith Burhop, she was born May 29, 1919 in Svea, Minn. She attended school in Atalissa. She married Henry Schneider April 21, 1936 in Rock Island, Ill. She married Fedale McIntosh Sept. 21, 1960 in Coralville.
Mrs. McIntosh was a homemaker and had lived in Tipton for the past 25 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist church in Tipton and the Birthday Breakfast Club.
She is survived by her husband, Fedale, Tipton; 3 daughters, Mrs. Richard (Joyce) Lund, Wilton; Mrs. Edward (Janice) Mezera, Prairie DuChien, Wis. and Jeanne Khulief, Chicago, Ill.; a son, Douglas Schneider, Tipton; 2 stepdaughters, Mrs. Alan (Patricia) Smith, Durant and Beverly Pratt, Conroe, Texas; 2 stepsons, Jack McIntosh, West Liberty and Bruce McIntosh, Glendale, Ariz.; 26 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and 4 sisters, Mrs. Anna Baldwin, Muscatine; Mrs. John (Margaret) Knouse, Akeley, Minn.; Mrs. Henry (Rosie) Hamann, Muscatine and Mrs. Marie McDuffy, Muscatine. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers and a grandchild.
