Calvin Guinn Sharp was born Jan. 15, 1925 to Walter Samuel and Mildred Nancy Ferren Sharp. He died May 16, 1944 and is memorialized at the East Coast Memorial, New York, NY and has a cenotaph in Corydon Cemetery, Corydon, IA.
Petty Officer Sharp served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and lost his life, in the Atlantic area, while parachuting from a plane at low altitude.
