Gunda (Evans) MOORE
December 18, 1893 -- 30 July 1971
Mrs. Gunda Moore, 77, of Dows died suddenly at her home on Friday afternoon. She had been in her usual health and was working in her yard when stricken. Born December 18, 1893 at Williams the daughter of Ingelbret and Guelbjorn Evans, she received her education in the Williams area. On November 3, 1915 she was married to R. P. Moore at Clarion and the couple farmed in the Popejoy and Dows area until moving to Dows in 1964. Mr. Moore died on August 1, 1966. Surviving are four sons and five daughters, Donald, Belmond; Max, Williams; Herbert, Alden; Walter, Dows; Mrs. Orin (Lucille) Anderson, Dows; Mrs. Thelma Westre, Bagley; Mrs. Merlyn (Helen) Didio, Clarion; Mrs. Doris Blankenship, Shelby, Nebr. and Mrs. Jim (Mary) Alumbaugh, Goodman, Missouri. Also surviving are twenty-seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one brother and two sisters, Albert Evans, Williams; Mrs. Tillie Nelson, Alden and Mrs. Bernice Gray, Pittsburgh, Pa. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and one sister and four infant brothers and sisters. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Dows Presbyterian church and funeral services were held at the church on Monday afternoon, Aug. 2 at 1:30 p. m. with Pastor W. O. Niles officiating. Burial was in Northlawn Memory Gardens in Iowa Falls. The Willim Funeral Home was in charge.
