Ralph Percy Moore
15 June 1892 -- 1 August 1966R. P. Moore, 74, Services Thursday
Services for R. P. Moore, 74, lifelong resident of the Dows area, will be held at the Presbyterian Church In Dows Thursday. Mr. Moore was taken to the hospital in Mason City Monday, where he died. He had farmed around the Dows area before moving to Dows.
R. P. Moore was born June 15. 1892 at Towanda, Illinois, son of Ralph and Almeda Moore. He married Gunda Evans Nov. 3 1915 at Clarion. He is survived by his wife, Gunda and eight children: Thelma Westry of Bagly; Donald Moore of Alexander; Lucille Anderson, Dows; Max Moore, Williams; Herbert Moore, Alden; Walter Moore, Dows; Doris Blankenship, Lincoln, Nebr., and Helen Didio. Clarion. Other survivors are his three brothers. George of Dows; Dewey of Hampton; and Gilbert of Butte, Montana; his four sisters, Mrs. Marlon Evans of Alden; Mrs. Ray Caldwell of San Diego, California; Mrs. Forrest Hadden of Carlock, Illinois, and Mrs. Wilson Caruth of Whittier, California, and 25 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Burial will be in the North Lawn Memory Gardens at Iowa Falls. Rev. William Niles officiating and the Van Hove Funeral home of Dows in charge.
