I was in search of my grandmother Edna Maude Scott and came across Leonard (Leendert) Tames from Holland. This is what I have found out so far: arrived in New York Sept. 2, 1923 on the ship named Rijndam. Married my grandmother February 7, 1927 in Turner, South Dakota. In the 1930 census they were living in Sioux City, Woodbury Co., Iowa. I think they must have divorced sometime between 1930 and 1932 because I found another marriage cert for him and it stated that he was divorced. He remarried Gladys Lambert on Jan. 24, 1932 in Rapid City, South Dakota. He died Dec. 7, 1956 in Los Angeles, CA. My grandmother remarried in 1934 to my dad's father. She had a son in 1934 before her married. I found a birth record of my father and it stated that my grandmother had 3 children, my father being the 3rd. I found a picture of my father, his brother, and a girl. I am trying to find out who this girl is. She could be at the age of being born from 1927 to 1932. Maybe Leonard was her father. But I have no name or any other info. I did also find that Leonard's fathers name was: Leendert Tames and his mothers name was: Luintje Aan De Wiel. Could this be the same man you are looking for?
