Mrs. N. E. Burkee, who was called here to attend the funeral of her mother, Mrs. A. Askelson, left yesterday for her home at Dunne Center, N. D.

OBITUARY.
ASKELSON
After an illness of several years, Mrs. Johana Askelson passed to her eternal reward Monday noon, Aug. 25. She has been a patient sufferer for seven years, never complaining but trusting in God and longing for the time to come when she could go home to her Savior.
Johana Monson was born In Norway, Dec. 11, 1836, was united in married{sic} to Nels Askelson, Nov. 15, 1863. To this union was born eleven children, four dying in infancy, Anna (Mrs. Kolbinsvick) died Oct. 20, 1904. To cherish the memory of a kind and loving wife and mother there remains her aged husband, two sons Mons of Cresco, John, Aneta, N. D., four daughters, Mrs. John Ellingson, Cresco, Mrs. N. E. Durkee, Dunn Center, N. D., Mrs. Frank Emery, Vegrevile, Can., Sara at home, twelve grand children, one brother Ole Monson of Cresco. The funeral service was held Friday, Aug. 29th conducted by her pastor, Rev. Normann, interment at Orleans cemetery.
Those from away attending the funeral were: Mrs. N. E. Durkee, Dunn Center, N. D., Mona and Andrew Anderson, Clarkfield, Minn., Hans Monson, LaCrosse, Wis.CARD OF THANKS.
We wish to thank the friends and neighbors for their help and sympathy during the sickness and death of our wife and mother, also for the beautiful floral offerings.
