Am interested in the ANDERSON surname:
Henry ANDERSON and his family appear in the 1870 census for Liberty township, Warren Co., Iowa. In this census, he is a 50-year-old white male farmer, with real estate valued at $500 and personal estate valued at $350. He was born in Ohio and was a male citizen of the United States 21 years or older. His wife, Mary (DERRY), 36, white female housewife, born in Ohio, and children, Amelia, Levi, Hester, Abraham, and Virginia, ages nine to seventeen appear in the household as well. Amelia was born in Indiana; the other children were born in Illinois. We believe Henry’s son, Levi, appears in the 1870 census for Jackson township, Clinton Co., Indiana as a 14-year-old white male ward of Elizabeth ROGERS.
Henry and family previously appeared in the 1860 census for Mason Co., IL.
Henry and Mary Ann disappear in Fed censuses after 1870. His children show up in the 1880, 1900-1930 census in other states.
What happened to Henry and Mary Ann after June 18, 1870?
