Sarah, you are a doll! Thank you so much for the info on the location of the farm! This helps me to picture where they were so much better. Little Edwin died just a week after the 1870 census was taken, so he's kind of haunted me for a long time. I still do not know for certain where he was buried, but there are 2 likely places: Motor Cemetery because it was active at the time and fairly close or DeWitt Cemetery in Marion County, where Edwin's aunt had been buried a few years earlier. It being summer, the distance to that location wouldn't have been insurmountable, and both sides of the family had kin in the area. Whichever it was, I know that there is no stone in existence; I have actually visited both cemeteries in the past. Thanks for giving my question such prompt attention!!!
